About the Committee

The Data Centre & Data Centre Interconnection Committee is the FTTH Council Europe's newest committee, established to reflect the Council's expanded remit across data centres and the fibre infrastructure that connects them.

The Committee's current work programme includes a report on hollow core fibre (HCF) and multi-core fibre (MCF), a DCI market study developed with the Board, and updates to the Market Panorama to capture the Council's broader scope. Alongside this, the Committee is developing a programme of educational webinars for members on AI-driven data centres, covering the underlying drivers and market trends, internal data centre architectures and wider interconnection architectures.

The Committee also leads the data centre and interconnection content at the annual FTTH Conference, shaping several hours of programming across the full breadth of the Council's expanded remit.

DE&I Takes Center Stage as a Driver of Innovation and Competitiveness in the Telecom Industry at FTTH Congress CEE 2025 in Warsaw, Poland

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee of the FTTH Council Europe successfully delivered a panel session at the recent FTTH Congress CEE 2025 in Warsaw, Poland, on 8th October 2025. The panel, titled "How Diversity, Equity & Inclusion help companies drive innovation, succeed economically and stand out from competition", regrouped a series of prominent panelists coming from Adtran, Corning, Orange and UKE. Marta Wojciechowska, CEO of Fiberhost, moderated the panel together with Katerina Kazak, Sales Director at Linksys and active member of the DE&I Committee.

The panel set another important mark following the 2025 DE&I landscape survey, the workshop held at the FTTH Conference in Amsterdam in March 2025, and the webinar the Committee organized in June under the title “Grow FTTH business with environments where everyone thrives”.

The Committee is now well prepared to start working on the FTTH Conference 2026 in London, with the confirmation that Diversity, Equity & Inclusion cannot be ignored by companies in our industry to stay competitive and be at the forefront of innovation. Stay tuned.
