The objective of this committee is to help Communication Service Providers avoid churn & create revenue opportunities through the provision of enhanced user experience.

While more and more households have access to full-fibre network, it becomes crucial to avoid home connectivity becoming a bottle neck and that the new gigabit services can efficiently reach end user devices without degradation of speed or performance.

The In-Home Broadband Excellence committee addresses the following questions:

  • how to provide, manage and monitor ‘Quality of Experience’ for the end-user
  • how to monetise value-added services and reduce costs
  • how to leverage standards and provide pointers to industry fora

You can expect multiple initiatives from this dynamic group, such as the In-Home Broadband Excellence Guide, available for every member of the FTTH Council Europe and sold to non-members at a price of €36 inc. VAT* una tantum, intended to help Communication Service Providers understand the topic of ‘In-home Broadband Excellence’ and optimize their business strategies to reap the benefits of fibre-based connectivity delivered to end-users' premises.

The In-Home Broadband Excellence committee is also very much engaged in the organisation of workshops at the annual FTTH Conference, as well webinars and other communications.

Grow your FTTH business with environments where everyone thrives

The FTTH Council Europe is constantly observing the industry in Europe when it comes to inclusion and equity to share best practices, provide recommendations based on the available data from its member companies to encourage progress and address the detected gaps. Following the first survey held back in 2021/2022 and mainly based on gender diversity, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee worked in 2025 on two new surveys with the target to:

  • Establish a baseline on DE&I within the industry and find about (best) practices
  • Compare results to the previous state of art to analyze differences
  • Identify how much active work is being done to address diversity
  • Evaluate more technical data like certifications, company programs, etc. And their impact on building an inclusive workplace

This webinar wants to share with the public the data collected and elaborated by the Council, showcasing the FTTH Council Europe's 2025 Champion of Diversity award-winning company best practices and going through the results of the recently issued surveys to provide a “state of art” picture of the three factors in our industry, thus contributing to pave the way forward towards a more equitable society to ensure a more sustainable and inclusive future in this respect.
