With over 12 million homes now having access to full fibre, the UK is among the fastest-growing fibre markets in Europe. Despite the clear improvements seen in the past few months, the country is still lagging behind other European countries with regard to FTTH coverage, and there is still a long way before all British citizens can enjoy the full potential of fibre connectivity.

It is therefore important to separate the facts from the fiction and build concrete strategies to fill this gap, with market data being the starting point of this exercise. At Adtran's NSP event UK, our Director General Vincent Garnier discussed the most recent UK fibre market figures and how these compare to the experiences from other European countries.
