The FTTH Council Europe has seven active Committees and a Working Group, covering a wide range of fibre-related topics and industry priorities. The Committees and Working Group of the FTTH Council Europe are instrumental in driving the organization’s mission to advance FTTH technology across the continent. By harnessing expertise, shaping policy, strategizing market development, and promoting collaboration, these groups ensure that the Council remains a leading force in the telecommunications industry. Their strategic importance cannot be overstated, as they lay the foundation for a connected, digital Europe where high-speed internet access is a reality for all.

By mean of this series of interviews with Committee and Working Group Chairs, the FTTH Council Europe aims at fostering a sense of community and collaboration among its Members. Committees and Working Group provide a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving. This collective effort not only accelerates innovation but also builds a robust support system for member organizations, enhancing their capabilities and competitiveness in the market. In the context of the International PIKE Conference and Exhibition, our Director General Vincent Garnier delivered a keynote presentation on the state of FTTH in Europe, leveraging the latest figures from our European FTTH/B Market Panorama 2023 report presented at the FTTH Conference 2023 in Madrid. The summit is the most important event for electronic media in Poland, permanently entered into the calendar of the cable, television, and telecommunications industries. This year, the conference, chaired by the slogan "Media and telecommunications in the age of artificial intelligence", was hold at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Łódź, on October 2-4, 2023. Speakers of the event are representatives of the Government, Parliament, European Commission, regulators, foreign and national network operators, TV broadcasters, suppliers, and producers of audiovisual content as well as equipment, infrastructure, technological and ICT solutions. The event consists of a conference and an exhibition where the largest players in the industry presented their products and services.  As in previous years, the conference gathered the most important stakeholders representing leading companies in the television and telecommunications market from Poland and around the world.
