The FTTH Council Europe has seven active Committees and a Working Group, covering a wide range of fibre-related topics and industry priorities. The Committees and Working Group of the FTTH Council Europe are instrumental in driving the organization’s mission to advance FTTH technology across the continent. By mean of this series of interviews with Committee and Working Group Chairs, the FTTH Council Europe aims at fostering a sense of community and collaboration among its Members. Keynote Speech 6 - Kamila Kloc, DG CNECT European Commission

Achieving Europe’s digital decade targets depends on universal access to high-quality, high-capacity connectivity, and fibre is at the heart of this ambition. In this keynote, Kamila Kloc shared the European Union’s strategic vision for building a competitive, sustainable, and digitally sovereign Europe through accelerated FTTH deployment. The speech addressed key EU policy initiatives, funding instruments, and regulatory frameworks supporting fibre rollout across the CEE region. It also highlighted the role of fibre in enabling critical objectives such as the green transition, digital inclusion, and economic resilience.
