What is the status of fibre deployments in Belgium and how does that compare to the rest of Europe? What is the role of the government? How can we ensure the rural areas are not forgotten?

Our President Eric Festraets covered these key topics during his keynote speech at FITCE.be’s event "Fiber for BE- The state and future of fiber in Belgium", happened on 6 October in Edegem, Belgium. On his presentation, President Festraets analysed the state of play and future of fibre deployments in Belgium in relation to the Market Forecasts 2021-2026 and the study on rural FTTH/B, recently revealed at the FTTH Virtual Conference 2021, together with the policies that will be necessary to reach full fibre connectivity in the country.
