The In-Home Broadband Excellence Committee is carrying forward the momentum built at the FTTH Conference in London, where its workshop set out the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of in-home connectivity. The central message was that the future of broadband excellence is won inside the home: fibre rollout is advancing rapidly and Wi-Fi technology is mature, yet the data continues to show significant experience gaps at the end-user level.
The Committee's work reflects that reality, delivering on the promise of gigabit connectivity takes more than network deployment alone, and requires the industry to align spectrum policy, engineering practices, data-driven insights and sustainable commercial models so that performance reaches the device itself. Consumers do not experience access speeds; they experience performance, making consistently strong in-home experiences a shared responsibility across the ecosystem, from operators and vendors to policymakers and service providers.
Building on this, the Committee continues to drive industry alignment through its guides, workshops and webinars, turning network capability into real-world quality of experience for the end user.
